This happens all the time with celebrities. We call these people with huge followers "influencers" for a reason. When someone posts something they're using/wearing/eating whatever, people go in droves to go get that thing. It's crazy and I'm not saying I agree with that but the same thing happens with celebrities and the mega rich. Louis Vuitton (and big brands like him) for example, know that if they can get someone like J-Lo pictured wearing/using their product, they will sell THOUSANDS if not more of their products. That's worth giving up one product without monetary compensation to that person. They're not giving it away for free. They're giving it in exchange for the exposure it gives their brand. I've checked out the brand for an overnight bag that Jordan did a Blog on when she was preparing to go to the hospital to have the twins: impressionboot.com. Their products are consistently going in and out of stock. I'm sure Jordan isn't the only influencer that they sent product to but they sell so much that they can't keep their products in stock. This is a huge business tool. People may think it's unfair that people like Jordan get all this "free stuff" but it's really not free. If a company were to send me a product, I'd have nothing to offer them in return. I don't get on social media (except to watch youtube Blogs), I don't have a huge following, I don't have a service to offer them in exchange. Influencers do and they work for hours every single day doing things we don't see and understand in order to get to that level. I think it's perfectly fair.
